How hard is it to get into HEC Paris?

HEC Paris seems to be really selective with the profiles and only the elite seem to make the cut. If anyone is targetting this business school please share insights about how hard is it to get into HEC Paris? What will be an ideal GMAT Score and other factors to get the admit?

-The program is very selective and the admission rate is low. Every year, students all around the world apply to the HEC Paris MBA program, and about ~16% of them are getting admitted (Harvard MBA: ~12%, Columbia: ~17%). Therefore, applicants must be aware of what they should do to be Successful. The average GMAT score for HEC Paris is around 690, anything above this is a strong profile, and below 600 is considered weak.
-Other than GMAT, your conversations with the admissions team matter a lot. Reach out early and try to speak with a recruitment manager early in the process. It will give you an idea of how you could leverage your strengths such as career progression and international exposure, as well as how you could stand out with your profile.
