More rankings for this university

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is an independent EU body with legal status, established in 2008 to enhance Europe’s innovation capabilities. The EIT operates through three main activities: offering entrepreneurial education programs across Europe that help students become entrepreneurs, providing business creation and acceleration services to scale up ideas and startups, and supporting innovation-driven research projects by connecting partners, investors, and expertise to bring ideas to market.

As part of Horizon Europe, the EU’s Framework Program for Research and Innovation, the EIT supports the program's four strategic goals under Pillar 3, ‘Innovative Europe.’ These goals include fostering strategic autonomy by advancing critical digital and emerging technologies, promoting sustainable management of Europe’s ecosystems and biodiversity, enabling Europe to become the first digitally-driven circular, climate-neutral economy, and building a more resilient, inclusive, and democratic European society. The EIT’s activities are funded through Horizon Europe.

Budget

In the EU Parliament and Council Decision of 20 May 2021, which outlines the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Agenda for 2021–2027, a total budget of €2,965,000,000 was allocated to meet the EIT’s financial requirements. Of this amount, €2,854,000,000—96% of the total budget—is designated for funding both existing and new Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs).

Within the allocated funds for KICs, at least 10% and up to 15% will support the Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS). Additionally, up to 7% of the budget will be directed towards cross-KIC activities, including support for KICs whose partnership agreements have expired or been terminated. A maximum of 3% is also allocated for a three-year pilot initiative aimed at enhancing higher education.

European Institute of Innovation and Technology Global Ranking

The University is still awaiting its official rankings from prominent organisations like QS, Times Higher Education, and US News and World Report. Despite the university’s growing reputation and significant contributions to academia, it has yet to be featured in the rankings published by these influential bodies.

While the University continues to develop its academic programs and research initiatives, it remains unranked by these major international ranking institutions. This lack of ranking from QS, Times Higher Education, and US News does not reflect the quality of education or research output; rather, it simply indicates that the university has not undergone formal assessment by these specific agencies.
