Mercy College, now known as Mercy University, is a private research university in New York. It has other campuses in Manhattan and the Bronx. The university is minority-serving and is the largest Hispanic-serving institution in New York. Previously affiliated with the Catholic church, it has been independent since the early 1970s. The six schools here offer more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degrees. 

The U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security designated Mercy University as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education. More than 8,500 students are enrolled annually here.
